Sad eyes…

When Mama arrived at the Cat Museum, she immediately looked up at us as we opened the cage and with gentle reassurance, we told her she & her babies were safe… she looked sad. We can only imagine how she felt as humans have let her down…

She was rescued by CATSI roaming around the void deck at Ubi Ave 1 & thankfully a kind fosterer gave her a safe place. She gave birth on 31 December at 4am.
We hope Mama grows to trust us more & know that she is safe and that she will find a furever family in 2017!

She joins the others in the Mamas & Munchkins Nursery.
Visit her at 8 Purvis Street Sat/Sun 1 to 3.30pm or Thu to Sun 4 to 7pm (Sun till 6.30pm) Entry $12 or $10 .

Mamas

We love helping Mamas. Very often we hear that people rescue a family, they find homes for the kittens and the poor Mama is steralised and dumped back on the streets. That makes us sad.

So this year, although we knew it would take longer to rehome, we started taking more Mamas and their babies and finding homes for all of them!

If you need help with a Mama & her babies that you have rescued, let us know. Whatsaspp 9337 5268 with photos and their story. We can’t help everyone but we will do our best!!

Suki and Kittens!

Happy Mama’s Day!!! We all agree that MAMA SUKI is the most selfless Mama of ALL!!!

A Japanese bob tailed cat, Suki came with 4 of her kittens Sushi, Sashimi, Tempura & Takoyaki born on 11 March. On 6 April when 3 kittens (just a few days old ) were found at a Shipyard, she helped nurse the weak tiny kittens and Mr SNOW (he’s white) survived with her tender loving care. On 4 May when 4 kittens were found at a wet market and brought here, Mama again stepped in and saved the day! We put the kittens with her gently and she immediately started grooming them and settled down so they could nurse. She is indeed an AMAZING MAMA!!! Thank you Suki. We love you and the kittens are all grateful for your love and for helping them survive.

Visit this Magnificient MAMA and give her some LOVE today!

Thanks to Audrey who saved her life and Wong Ling Kennel for giving her a safe place to give birth!

Mothers’ Day Countdown!

It’s May and we start our countdown to mother’s day with the amazing stories of courageous mamas who survived abandonment or the harsh dangers of living on the streets. With a little help from kind humans who rescued them & took their little ones to safety… we were very happy to provide a safe roof over their heads and give them a chance at a good life!

Our first MAMA is a shy & gorgeous Khao Manee (a Thai breed previously kept by royalty), MAMA is extra special as she has hetero chromia, 2 different coloured eyes, she also has 3 different coloured babies!! Her little white one, Diamond, is a fluffy, long haired darling also with hetero chromia but opposite eyes from her MAMA. Abandoned when she was pregnant, Mdm Law rescued them and brought them to us during Lunar New Year 2015. We love you MAMA… you are truly a gentle yet fiercely protective MAMA!!

While MAMA, Diamond, Gold & Onyx have been adopted by The Cat Museum, (we wish we could keep them all) there are 6 Magnificent Mamas looking for a home!! Open your hearts to them. Together they gave us 20 KITTENS and now all they ask for is a life off the streets.

Mama #5 Americano & her Coffee Family from Yishun. Living under a concrete slab with cranes and trucks driving by everyday, it was a really dangerous situation. Thanks to a kind Myanmar worker who fed them and looked out for them and called the @CATSI fb group to rescue the family! A beautiful Mama who cares for her 5 babies 3 boys & 2 girls!

Mama #4 Japanese Mama Suki from Farrer Road. AVA was called by office workers to remove Suki from an office building where she grew up and she was destined to be put to sleep. thankfully she was rescued and given a quiet place to give birth to her 4 cuties Sashimi, Sushi, Tempura & Takoyaki! Mummy is so beautiful and gentle. She even nursed other orphaned babies that came in.

Mama #3 SupurrModel Naomi from Woodlands was thrown like trash with an old mattress and computers below a block of flats with her 4 babies. A case of people not wanting to steralise their cats and then unable to cope, poor Naomi & her kittens were in poor health with the flu. Her babies Tyson & Gisele have been adopted so mummy is waiting with Elle & Heidi.

Mama #2 Chamomile from Yishun Construction Site. A Myanmar worker who had a heart of GOLD did her best to feed the Coffee Family Mama & 5 Kittens and the Tea Family Mama & 3 Kittens!! When she couldn’t afford it anymore she reached out for help as the area was very dangerous as the kittens got bigger and started running around. Mama was rescued first with Peppermint but the CATSI group never gave up and 3 weeks later found Darjeeling & Earl Grey. They all need a home.

Mama #1 Nicole Kidman from Gul Circle Warehouse. We named her after beautiful Australian Superstar as she has the grace & poise of Nicole. Trapped by AVA and destined to be killed, kind people intervened and saved her life. Mummy to Hugh Jackman (tuxedo) & Ryan Reynolds (ginger) 2 handsome studs who have found their furever homes with Desiree & Rika, all this mummy wants is a place to call her own. Gentle purring machine, playful too!!!
